What is StrategyGamesEvolution.com?
StrategyGamesEvolution.com is a site dedicated to exploring, studying & discussing of strategy games. I believe every game designed are unique and has it’s unique audiences and pros & cons regardless of the popularity or world trends. And every game is part of the evolution to make future games better. Through these reviews, I aim that we can all gain better knowledge and understanding, thus no matter if we are playing or designing, we improve as a better thinker, designer, gamer & hobbyists.
I established StrategyGamesEvolution.com so that I can pay tribute to all the games that come before us. Each being part of the history and evolution for strategy games.
I think no matter what game it is, there are always some good and bad. And there are always fans and people who like and dislike them. And to be able to review them and keep the knowledge on the web thought this website, is something like paying tribute and respecting the games that we made. As I explore more, I found there are always passionate fans. So for me, I will just write about anything I got my hands on, starting by digging from my childhood goodies and go from there.
The scope of strategy games include toys, boardgames, video/ pc games, and console games with the following elements:
- Collectible miniatures, toys & cards
- Strategy elements like duelling formula
- Others tbc
So far, the site is reviewing the following:
- Electronic battle systems
- Figurine collection battle/ duel games
- Card collection battle/ duel games
The site contents types will be reviews, study notes and news.

Although the aim of StrategyGamesEvolution.com isn’t about making money, it does have a few monetization points. The money gained will be put back into supporting my ongoing efforts to purchase, study, write and share of strategy games. And of course, the server and maintenances.

About Me
One of my life’s goals is to make a fun and interesting website. After trying topics like travel, dinosaurs, robots, animes, game guides and more, I wasn’t successful at all and those websites gone stale a few months after initiation. Then one day it came to me, that I was only sharing topics that I like, but not what I love to do.
Eventually, I reflected since small, I always enjoyed strategy games and any toy products that have hints of “strategy play value” on them (One of my favouriate being Barcode Battler II). For toys I collect those items as a hobby and searched for them to buy from various places. For games I just kept playing them since the Nintendo Famicom and the other brand generations and whatever are available to me. Also, I designed games where I played with my brother, and later had ideas to publish some but it never happened due to many reasons.
Yet, by realising that on this site I can sharing what I do as a hobby and the process of it, this site is a dream come true (Rather than waiting for some final product to launch). It is like sharing to the world with friends of similar hobbies which I wasn’t able to do back in the days when there isn’t any internet to connect. And then, I get not only to share, but can discuss them as well by engaging in the conversation of strategy games.
